callumskeat
Hello, Does anyone know how to programme a second key fob? The car is a Caterham 7 1.6 16V K-Series Year 2000 50th Anniversary Edition. The system is "Rover Robust Immobilisation" Very grateful if someone might give me a pointer here? Many Thanks Callum
john milner
The fob needs to communicate with something called a 5AS and the ECU. I think you need a garage with the kit to do this. http://www.oscillotech.co.uk/techinfo/roverfobs.html Edited by - John Milner on 2 Jun 2013 20:17:

revilla
Mark Stacey at ZandFTuning certainly has the kit to do this even though it's not his main service offering.
Sim
Has anyone actually tried remotekey with their caterham?
Ed W
Followed their instruction, also available from other websites, to change the battery in key fob and it work straight away! Have just ordered a spare key fob from them so will let you know at the end of the week. As long as you have the plugin socket under your dash do not see why it should not work and I did contact them prior to ordering and they said they work for Caterhams. The Rover 200 one is the fob you need. Ed
Sim
Thanks Ed - let me know how you get on. In the mean time I'll go and check on the location of the connector Simon
Ed W
Remote key + programmer received in post. 1 minute later job done! Works perfectly, highly recommend if you do not have a spare key fob. Ed
Sim
Yes I Agree- really easy - just plug the programmer in and wait for blue light to go out. I spent longer looking for the connector which was tucked down the side panel Simon
