Keechy Posted April 7, 2013 Share Posted April 7, 2013 Advice required please, over the last winter I did a few cosmetic upgrades which included front and rear carbon arches, new black screen, windscreen brackets, FIA roll bar, carbon headlights and indicator pods. The reason for the thread is that when I get to 75 mph ish I get a noise which is becoming very difficult to locate. After several journeys removing something each time I think I've cracked it. I think the noise is from the flex in the front carbon arches at speed. Would it be possible to fibreglass the under side of the arches to stiffen them up and if so is that an easy task? Stationary M25 Traveller Posted April 8, 2013 Share Posted April 8, 2013 No expert with what you can or can't do with CF ... but I would guess you can .... make sure you clean the underside thoroughly with acetone (nail varnish remover) first.
