1.4 SS

Looked through a lot if the 1.44SS posts and can't see an answer to my question.

 

What was the difference between the 1.4 RS & The 1.4SS? I see a K-Series cam cover badge on the CC website. here

No doubt I'll be proven wrong but I don't think there was a 1400 Roadsport, the term was used later after the 1600 and 1800 engines were introduced. As far as I'm aware all the 1400K's would be either "1400" or "1400SS".

I believe you are right, plus their was the 1400 SS LE with carbon bits.

The limited edition one you refer to was badged as the Road-Sport (hyphenated)

It used the SS engine + 6 speed box.
