Female 9/16ths 36 spline coupler

I need to make up a small shaft with a splined male at one end and a splined female at the other.

I've got a lower Caterham column with a male spline. I now need a female spline something like this , but looks a little expensive. Anyone know of a more cost effective source?

Not averse to sourcing something from the scrappy if I can identify a car that uses a spline i can fabricate.
