TobyCoulson
I want to replace my indicator, headlight flash and headlight dipped and main switches from the standard plastic ones to some of these. Can anyone help and tell me which ones I should order?

anthonym
I have not changed mine just because they break when kicked etc. I think of them as sacrificial. I carry spres for the relatively frequent replacement process.
Roger Ford
Have you thought about how you're going to wire them? The standard switches have tubular connectors in connector blocks designed for the switches, the replacement switches will have spade connectors in different positions. You can cut off all the tubular connectors and fit your own spade connectors, but I didn't fancy doing this because (1) it was more messing with the standard loom than I was willing to do, and (2) some of the wires may not then be long enough (particularly if you want to move switches like I did). My solution was to take the old switches apart, and solder new wires onto the appropriate "contact pads", which are the other side of the male tubular connectors. That way I can just plug the back of the old switch into the loom connectors, and have connectors on the new wires which fit the new switches. I had one of my soldered connectors fail while I was rebuilding the car, but none since.

Roger Ford
Ah yes, sorry, if we're talking about the toggle switches you should be OK. I replaced all my plastic rocker switches as well, which are the ones with the tubular connectors. http://rogerford.smugmug.com/Other/2011-12-28-by-Eye-Fi/i-G8w3dWH/0/S/IMG0479-S.jpg Edited by - Roger Ford on 16 Jul 2012 09:38:
