Richard K
Car is a X/Flow super sprint on 40 Webbers After an ‘Airfield Day’ at Northweald on Friday I discovered that my throttle peddle had moved. On lifting the bonnet I found the bar that runs between the bottom of the carbs and supports the ‘return spring’ had become completely detached. Does anyone know the bolt length and thread size I needed to reattach it. Thanks Richard
James_Russell
Pretty sure it's M6 and 30mm. Re-fit with an anti-rattle washer and Loctite, I know folks who have DNF'd races due to this happening so I make checking mine for tightness part of my regular nut & bolt check. Richard K
Thanks James, NB. It did not spoil the fun on the day. A friend was driving and having a great time spinning in the wet 😬 I only noticed once were ready to leave and the peddle seemed further away. I will fix at the weekend.
