madmaninshed
Hi, just starting to fit new engine loom for k series to duratec conversion. What does the MFU (multifunction unit) do please, and where is it located in the car please? Does a duratec R400 spec car have one? Please forgive ignorance..... mav
It's a small black box normally located near the ecu on k series cars and contains a number of relays. A quick search will turn up threads with much more detail and links to pictures etc. I don't know if the mfru is needed on a duratec car or not. madmaninshed
Thanks mav, have found it on a picture of an R400 engine installation. It seems that the R400 does need one....whatever it does... shame, I gave one away a while ago.
Johnty Lyons
Its just a number of relays in one box you can replace it with separate relays and to be honest on a Duratec conversion you are probably as well to do so.
