Baz Hemsley
Have had a recent engine rebuild ,and have done approx 2000 miles, and have now got ignition problems. The ignitor in the the distributor (Aldon LU144) has decided to pack-in. I have returned it to The 7 Workshop, who fitted it. They will return it to Burtons, who will return it to there supplier, who will report back to Burtons, who will send replacement to The 7 Workshop who will post it to me, I will then take it to the Garage to fit. And hope the problem is solved. Do you think I will have the car back on the road soon? Has anyone one advice how I can short-cut this procedure? Clousta
Buy another and keep the replacement, when it arrives, as a spare. It will help fault finding in the future as well as keeping you on the road.
Baz Hemsley
Tried that. Burtons out of stock. Then went direct to Aldons and they are out of stock. they are on back order from 19th. March. Anyone have an old distributor and coil with points?
strongy
Sorry to hear that, especially as I has just sent my two dizzies to Aldon for refreshing ☹️ I was given a 2 week estimate.
