billyboanerges
Help please! VW 1.0 Started 1st time today, started second time but third time - won't run below about 2500 to 3000 rpm. Distance covered today - 200yards total. When throttle released slowly, engine misfires and dies. Engine will only fire with at least half open throttle. Any ideas please? Thanks, Tony
charlie_pank
Would help to know what VW 1.0 is... What happens if you warm it up to temperature before releasing the throttle? Suspect wiring/sensor problem - TPS or temp sensor most likely. Perhaps also IACV?

billyboanerges
Thanks c_p and John, Car started and ran perfectly 10 mins ago - now won't idle again. Checking all connectons and then we'll be left to see what the warranty Martin got with the car is really worth1 Ta, Tony
