Reducing induction noise

I love the sound of the Webers on my Zetec, but would love it even more if there was slightly less of it, so the whole neighbourhood does not know when I go out.

Currently I am on standard K and N filters. Can anyone recommend any quieter solutions or means of slightly muting my induction.

There's me trying to make my sigma louder like my old cross flow.

I do miss the lack of "ringing ears" when I return from a blat. I hope the new supersport 4" silencer "does what it says on the tin"

Seriously though some sort of airbox is probably the only solution but if not carefully designed and matched to the carbs it probably will reduce the power and torque.

Induction roar was only a problem when it set off car alarms *smile* *smile*

I find K&Ns are quieter than 'socks', you could try that as it's simple and you may already have them. Other than that you need an airbox but I can't find one off the shelf to suit (although I haven't tried enormously hard).
