Side and headlight bulbs

What is the current thinking on the best upgrade for the above over the standard units.

Philips Extreme are good.

 

Osram Nightbreaker also well reviewed.

 

Halfords Super Brilliance +50% ok, but I would avoid the Extreme Brilliance +90% as the filaments seem very fragile ...... only lasted a very short time in tintop I tried them on. Imagine the vibration on a Seven would damage them quickly.

I use the Nightreakers on the tintop. Very good, but also a bit short-lived. I change them every 4-6 months, but bear in mind that I live somewhere where you have to have the lights on all the time. I guess they last around 15-20k miles in average.

Fitted Halfords +50% three years and 10,000 miles ago to the 7 and they are still working ok. They are brighter but almost anything would be compared to the originals. As with a lot of products, Halfords have offers from time to time and IIRC they were 2 for 1 or something like that when I got them. Thought the full price was a bit steep at the time.
