Geoff C
Aplogies in advance as I know this has been covered a few times. I am looking at fitting some Willans harnesses like theseto replace my now sold Caterham ones. My question is has anyone fitted the schroth 6 point harnesses here? Prices are similar with the optional t bar crutch strap. I am swaying towards the scroth as the buckle looks more comfortable and I like being different Geoff
elie boone
Strange that Willans mention the 6 point as Caterham where in the text it says GT and Saloon. You will find saloon and GT type belts to long. I would go for a 6 point referred to : suitable for single seaters.
skydragon
I fitted a Scroth 6 way harness to my seven last year and it's one if the best bits of gear I've ever bought. I use This type here and the crotch strap arrangement is far better than a T-bar type arrangement imho, with the 6 straps holding your body/pelvis to a single central point, as they are intended to. This Scroth harness was made specifically for caterham usage (as i understand it) after a lot of testing and feedback from racers. Not cheap, but very well made. Gnasher2
Another for the schroth harness. Very easy to get into, adjust and comfortable in use. Never had to use them in anger fortunately but I'm sure they would be ok if/when push came to shove. Do it!
Racing Snake
*thumbup*For the Willans with alloy shoulders adjusters, the Caterham belts have perfect belt length I also have a Scroth hans device, top quality product too I guess you won't go wrong with Harnesses from either Willans or Scroth
peterg
Quoting Mad Hatter: *thumbup*For the Willans with alloy shoulders adjusters I had Willans harnesses with the alloy shoulder adjusters in both my Westfield and my single seater, great to use and very good service from the company too
Geoff C
Thanks for all the replies, some more research needed I feel, but am leaning towards schroth at the moment. Will keep you posted
