Pezky
From memory I think it as around 74deg 🤔 X/flows don't like temperatures around
Drumster
Always used a 74 deg thermostat in my x/flow as recommended by Roger King
Graham Perry
I have some notes here at home that suggest Roger King recomended a 74 deg stat, which was a Quinton Hazell part QTH101K . Not sure if they still produce it though. Also try Burtonpower as they may well still do a stat in that temp range
andy couchman
Yes, 74 Johnty. They have a habit of sticking in the shut position so a lot of us have drilled a small hole so that there is some water flow even if that happens. Is the gauge working OK? Sheds Moderator
Ford used to sell an 88 stat to INCREASE the coolant temp in cars that were generally used in cool conditions, so you want to be nearer 80n than 100.
Johnty Lyons
See edited first Post WTF do you get a 74.
Clousta
Redline Components have them on the shelf and will mail one out rapidly. Is your colleague absolutely sure his system is running at 100C? I have had lots of indication problems- almost solved now but throughout the temperatures of the actual cooling system have been correct. Check using an IR thermometer.
