Mark Chilton Posted April 21, 2011 Share Posted April 21, 2011 I recently replaced std exhaust system with a Powerspeed 4 to 2 to 1 system. An execellent move which has released more torque across the rev range and more BHP. Unfortunately, ever since tickover has been high (EU2 engine with std mems but head fully ported and BP270HVVC exhaust cam) 1500 rpm cold and nearly 1200 rpm when warm. Mark Chilton Posted April 21, 2011 Author Share Posted April 21, 2011 Dave, If you mean the mechanical screw then 'no'. I can unscrew this completely and it makes no difference and the throttle cable is completely slack. I can wind the screw in and increase the revs!! I'm not sure what you mean by resetting the throttle calibration unless you are making reference to the reset procedure involving pumping the accelerator pedal. oilyhands Posted April 24, 2011 Share Posted April 24, 2011 Take the IACV hose off the TB end and block it with your thumb. If the engine stalls then the air is coming from the IACV so it is a managment issue. If the engine continues to run then there is an air leak somewhere.
