dom69
Think the blue one was me, I was in that area about that time. What was with the "soldier" guarding Quebec house?? Going too fast, it's only a classic 1400 😬
Stationary M25 Traveller
Michael ... you are supposed to be clearing a Seven sized space in your garage, not lurking in the town stalking blatters !! Not long now
Michael G
Soldier waving a sword? That would be General James Wolfe of Quebec fame. He was born in Quebec House. Still clearing out the junk Ian, and on schedule to have it spotless in time for the new arrival.

Martin J
When is the happy day Michael? As you know, I often work in Westerham & was wondering if I could pop in & have a look when your new baby is home.

Michael G
Only 32 when he died! Was he clad all in brown, waving his sword and standing on a pedestal on the village green? If so, that was him. Ian, I was thinking about fitting a chandelier, and I'll get Martin to advise on installing central heating. For my garage, not my car. 😬 Martin, you'd be very welcome. I hope for final date confirmation over the next few days. Should be around April 4th. I'll post the good news separately.

Martin J
On the subject of soldiers in Westerham................ Back in the Autumn, Mrs J & myself had a blat to Chartwell House in Westerham (the country home of Winston Churchill & well worth a visit ) as we wondered into the great mans house a very senior American soldier passed by me with all his hangers on & climbed into a limo. It was General Petraeus The national trust guide said to us that the general had always wanted to visit Churchills home & that the last time he was in the UK the Government arranged for him to visit Blenheim Palace by mistake Churchill just happend to be born there but never lived there. Shame he wasn't leaving the house a couple of hours later as he would have been rewarded with the sight of my caterham & his visit to the UK would have been complete
