Stephen Long
The carpet has come away in the cockpit and I have been adives to use double sidied carpet tape to put it back. Question is.. Do I stick to the carpet then push it onto the side of the car or stick it on the car and push the carpet up to it 🤔 Any advice Longy
Shad
I've used a length of duck tape (taped end-to-end to create pseudo double sided tape) on my carpet, seems to do the job (unless you already have carpet tape). Simon niknak.org
MartinH
I got some very very sticky double sided tape from screwfix.com but the carpet came away after a few days. I then tried spreading some impact adhesive on the carpet in stripes, letting it go off for about 15 mins. This seemed to seal the 'fluffyness' of the carpet back. I then stuck the carpet down onto the double sided tape on the car body and that seemed to work fine. Duratec R300 SV build in progress

grumpy the 7th
Depends which side ?? If drivers side then use some Halfrauds extra strong Velcro cut to so you can lift the carpet off to get to the hole in the tunnel to get to the gearbox filler plug rog C7 TNT - it's Dynamite!(Honda Irish Green and Peugeot Graphite grey)
Z3MCJez
Isn't gearbox filler plug on passenger side? And requiring of new hole to be cut? Drivers side is access to reverse light sender, IIRC. I have a 5-speed. Jez
Stephen Long
I went with the double sided tape as I already had the stuff, so I will see how it hangs on. Thinking about it now I would use velcro next time. Longy

Silver Machine
Have used heavy duty velcro. The piece you stick to the floor stays forever but adesion to the carpet is poor. Stitching the velcro to the carpet has prooved successful. Machine stitching is best but I must admit did not do this bit myself.
