CaterBram
I'm intending camping at Llandow on the friday, however what does everyone else do about Llys-Y-Fran, Do they camp at Llandow on Saturday night and travel early on Sunday morning or is there another campsite close to Llys-y-fran which is normally used. ? PaulCo
Camping at Llys-y-Fran is Ok - a good level area at the venue, with decent facilities. Arriving on Saturday night allows a leisurely walk of the course. The usual caveats apply regarding noisy neighbours! Paul
CaterBram
Paul, Have you got any contact details for booking the camping at Llys-y-fran ? PaulCo
Chris, I seem to think it was just a question of turning up and pitching the tent, but I could be wrong - the details will be in the regulations for the event, I suspect. If I have any record of this from last year, i'll let you know. Paul
CaterBram
There's nothing in the regulations and I didn't fancy just turning and chancing it, i'll have another search around the tinternet. CaterBram
Well i've done as Mark suggested and got the following :- Chris Yes you can camp on site, tent or motorhome As you come through the entrance gate there is a field on the left which is the trailor park, plenty of room and loads of people stay on site. You'll get a diagram with the finals Toilets are open all night but unfortunately the cafe closes early. The main gate is open all night in case you go out for food or a drink As far as I know you do not need to book but someone comes around for some money. If you want to ring the visitor centre the number is 01437 532273 Some competitors have in the past brought their family's and stayed extra day as Llys Y Fan is in a very scenic part of Wales Q469 WET, 1990 1690 Xflow Long Cockpit in Ali except for the red bits.
