Hi

 

Has anyone bought a pair of ABS half door sidescreens off Ebay £70 pair

Just wanted to know if they are any good and how they have been fitted

Hi Nigel, I bought some last year in carbon effect.

 

They took a bit of work to get them to fit the way I wanted them too. I trimmed them to fit better and bent them using a hot air gun so they fitted inside the scuttle edge like the real carbon fiber ones from Mog. I hold them in place with some standard poppers.

Hi Nigel,

 

I too fitted some carbon effect ones (Andy kindly sent through his photos and a description of how he went about fitting.)

 

Have to say I think they are very good indeed and the supplier was excellent to deal with.

 

Only difference to Andy's fitting was that I included an additional short strap from the bottom of the half door (secured by a small bolt) to the popper on the inside of the top rail - this was used as an anchor point for my normal side screens.
