DonkeyDave Posted August 1, 2002 Share Posted August 1, 2002 Caterham R500 June 2000 4500 miles aeroscreen, tonneau and halfdoors Mclaren Orange and carbon cycle wings Powder coated engine bay/boot/’cockpit’ Uprated Master Cylinder Triple Bypass Radiator Oil cooler Apollo tank in addition to usual dry sump arrangement Caterham built This car has a brand new engine – it has done 50 miles It suffered a rod end failure caused by a faulty rod end bolt Excellent condition – no ‘dings’ Yes its been on trackdays, but never raced and always fastidiously maintained – and remember it has a new engine Its currently on stiff springs, and flat floored for me (78kgs) I will happily set it up for someone wanting to buy it – and can put back the ‘road’ springs if wanted I’m selling it because since starting a family I have very little time to use it. If you went to caterham and specified this as new it would cost you just under 40 grand! I would actually like to sell this car so will accept a very realistic £27500 – which coincidentally is about the price of a properly speced R300, or the price of one of those new elises.....
