Badger Bill
Right, the wife wants something newer so, the family barge is up for sale. Subaru Legacy Outback Estate 2.5 Auto 2000 V-reg 65k £2250 12month MOT. 65k miles I carried out last service, oils, filters, front disks & pads Feb '09. Recently changed both front springs and top mount on front drivers side Nov '08 and Feb '09. Fitted new twin CAT exhaust section including new Subaru OEM seals and bolts, Dec '08. New alternator belt, as old one looked a bit iffy March '09 New 80% brighter headlamps (dipped and main, two separate bulbs) Nov '08. It has had a full 4 wheel alignment done this week, drives perfect. All tyres have good tread all across. No diff/drivetrain issues. Spec; 3rd Gen Subaru Legacy 1998-2003 Outback Estate, with high roof and revised (more boot space) suspension. 2.5L 16v 4 cylinder boxer engine 4 Speed Auto with Sport and Winter settings. Horsepower: 165 hp at 5600 rpm, 166ft. lbs torque at 4000 rpm Gets genuine 28 mpg on average, on a mix of all types of driving, urban, m-way, country. Permanent 4WD Braked towing weight 1800kg. Good points; £180 Road Tax Stamped Service history until 60k, I carried out oil and filters change at 63k. Twin electric sunroof 4 x elec windows Fully working cruse control No rust at all, stone chips always touched in quickly. All mechanics work well. All Electrics work well. Face off Stereo. Un-marked upholstery. Bad points; Slight scuff to the front drivers side bumper, nothing serious, in-fact, unless you get down to inspect it is hardly visible. Front brakes sometime squeak pulling up. Wheels need renovating (lacquer lifting) to make it 100% Needs timing belt change Overall it is a great load hauler, with decent potential to go off-road, dragging traliers through fields, etc (although it is no land rover), in good shape with low miles. Blatchat price £2250 or swap for '01 and newer estate/hatchback (Volvo V70, Skoda Octavia, Ford Mondeo etc) In North West, near Warrington Cheers SM25T, notice that I put my location in this time!
