TobyCoulson
Just taken my car to Redline to have some work on it and there may be a leak in the rad. It has been losing a small amount of fluid recently and there was a sign of dampness at the bottom of the rad when I took it in today. Now assuming the worst and I can't get a replacement from Caterham under warranty( the car is just over a year old and has done less than 1000 miles) or otherwise what are the alternatives?? I seem to remember someone mentioning a 3 core alloy rad that does the job.
Normans_Ghost
Toby, I'll be surprised if CC don't deal with it under warranty. However, if not why not get it repaired, shouldn't cost a lot. Stationary M25 Traveller
If it is a problem with the interface between plastic and metal parts, maybe not such an easy fix ? Would certainly ask CC for a sympathetic warranty claim, given the age, low mileage and known big problem they have had with this component. Pop over the road to CCS when done at Redline ? Old Git
As the man above says, CC should give you a new 'un given the long history with duff rads

TobyCoulson
I am now just waiting on them delivering an FIA roll bar to Redline and then I can pick it up. Although having said that there may be an issue with the LSD. Oh what joy. 😬
exfordy
Mine has a leak at the joint between the top plastic and the metal. 2 years 8000 miles. Suppose I'll have to buy one even given the recognised problem with these rads :-( Viper Blue Sigma 150 Roadsport SV

exfordy
James Gibson said "We did have a problem on early radiators but all failures were pretty early on in the radiators life as it was a seam failure so unable to retain water for long. I would be surprised if your radiator was from this batch". My car was I believe the first Sigma 150 delivered for self build (early May 8, 2007) which would make it an early radiator? Anyway I am now stuck because... they are out of stock! Methinks they must have some for production. Shouldn't they let me have one of those? exfordy
Didn't get a reply to an e-mail sent two days ago to the Parts Dept so rang today. No stock, not sure when some will be in, could be tomorrow or next week and then probably only five and those may be swallowed up by production. *Sigh* Viper Blue Sigma 150 Roadsport SV
