Trotsky
The bracket inside the air filter that holds the outer plate on the formost webber has come adrift at the top causing it to wobble a bit, is it fixable or do I need a complete new assembly, cheers Trotsky N7 HPC
elie boone
It's the one with the single bolt i guess, yes you can have it welded. I am not sure if that version is still available new.
Graham Sewell
You could probably try to get someone to weld it back into place. From what I can see, the older single screw filters that had this sort of bracket were discontinued a while back and the new ones have two screws. So if you need to replace them, you'll probably need two! Cheers, Graham ------ Low tech luddite - xflow and proud!
Normans_Ghost
Trotsky, seeing as your name is tha same as my grandfathers friend, if you can't get it welded then email me. I may be able to find one for you. millsn
This may suprise you but I wrote to K&N (who BTW have a position that their filters should last the life of your car) and they sent me a new set of what I would call front plates. I was able to reference the exact date and transaction where I bought them though. Could be worth a try.
