RiF
With the standard CC wheel we put a large lump of rubber on it for SVA. What happens with a quick release wheel? RiF Driving one of the first Duratec 7, and building CA07BON for Henrietta 😬 😬 😬.for pictures of 7 and carbon andCA07BON
MarchHare2008
ditto, rubber cover fixed by sticky velcro pads which fall off as soon as you look at them.
Stationary M25 Traveller
Velcro does tend to grip better than the adhesive on the steel part of the wheel ! Richard - If you don't have one, I have an SVA pad lurking in the garage if you want to borrow it ? What's more, I may just be driving past your place next Wednesday pm ! Edited by - Stationary M25 Traveller on 8 Jan 2009 12:36:
RiF
Thanks for your replies It is for the chap exporting my 7 who might need it. He wants me to swap over to a quick release but wants to be sure it can still be classed as SVA compliant for a retest in Belgium. Ian, how close will you be? Are you staying nearby? Always good to say hi if you have time As to your kind offer I think we need to have one to keep, unless yours is for sale?  RiF Driving one of the first Duratec 7, and building CA07BON for Henrietta 😬 😬 😬.for pictures of 7 and carbon andCA07BON
Stationary M25 Traveller
The CC site seems to show a double thickness pad for the French market ? See here ! Cant see the standard one. Wonder which one he will need ? I will be driving from Maddiston to Morpeth - not sorted out times for appointments/overnight stop yet - will let you know.
RiF
Thanks Ian. Very interesting. I would invite you to stay but my daughter and a friend are here for a week, filling our spare rooms. First visit in nearly 2 years 😬 Wonder what she is after  RiF Driving one of the first Duratec 7, and building CA07BON for Henrietta 😬 😬 😬.for pictures of 7 and carbon andCA07BON

CK
Erm...the other Belgian guys may be along soon, but in anticipation: I think you need to disable the quick release mechanism (cable ties to secure the wheel to the boss more visibly?) for the Belgian technical tests. I'm willing to be corrected on that though... Chris.
