Anthony
Welcome guidance please. Is the brake warking swith (on LHS of dash - for RHD car 😬) a legal requirement. I know it was never questioned in my 1992 chassis at MOT team, just wondering. If its nice to have may strip-it out of the new loom for Friends car which is going on an essential diet. Many thanks
Graham Sewell
I believe that the switch is not a legal requirement but the warning lamp is! Cheers, Graham ------ Low tech luddite - xflow and proud!

shn7
But don't you have to have a means to test the lamp? Normal cars test it when the ignition is first switched on. The switch permits this test and is a requirement certainly for SVA and probably for MOT. Steve.
