grahambiddulph
Any of you guys know anything about lowering brackets for 7 inch headlights. The subject was touched upon last week but did not say where to get them from or how they work. Graham. *wavey*
paul jacobs
Brackets have changed a bit over the years, but if your car is fairly recent it is not a difficult job to take a hacksaw to them yourself. I've lowered the brackets on my CSR which had a lower "leg' attached to the front suspension to steady the headlight. I cut this leg off and shortened it, and screwed it back with a rivnut squeezed up inside, the mounting flange for the headlight will need partially ciutting through, so it can be bent to the correct angle and re welded. It's and easy job, and if you mess it up, it'll just cost you another bracket, a price you will probably save anyway. Paul J. Loud pipes save lives, but quiet ones save your hearing. Area Representative paul richards Posted January 27, 2008 Area Representative Share Posted January 27, 2008 Point to note Lowered headlights are probably only OK if you have wide track suspension.
