Ozzy
I noticed today, that I have a slight bit of play on o/s front wheel. I'm pretty sure this is coming from the wheel bearing. Question.......... Are the front bearings a bit like the old type, with a castle nut and splitpin, that you can slightly tweak to take out the play? It looks like I have a dome cover, which presumibly prises off. Perhaps someone could enlighten me, as to whether it's that easy. Many thanks, Oz. Casbar
They are like the old type, but the castle nut needs to line up with a split pin hole, so not a lot of tightening to do. They probably need replacing, quite a common fault. Bearings can be bought from either CC or any Triumph parts supplier. The domes should just prise off, but sometimes they don't, you then need to buy some new ones, from a Triumph parts supplier.
Bricol
Dmoes not coming off - drill small hole in end - insert suitable self tapper, and pull . . or screw in far enough so it jacks the cover off against the end of the stub axle. But normally some sensible abuse with hammer and screwdriver will get them off. Bri
