The Don
Having returned my defective Aldi wrench, I'm looking for something similar including a set of sockets. Most I've seen cost around £50 which is a bit steep for my occasional use (which to be honest comprises more telling people I've got one than physically using it ). Any recommendations, or anyone have a spare Aldi set for sale? Thanks, Howard Edited by - The Don on 23 Apr 2007 15:13:
F355GTS
I bought the set from Machine Mart (ratchet, impact and air gun) about 5 Years ago now, they've all performed brilliantly Mark
Area Representative Crudders Posted April 23, 2007 Area Representative Share Posted April 23, 2007 Howard - The Aldi compressor and tools were supplied by Omega Wolf here - it may be worth contacting them and see if you can extract some good will. Otherwise, Machine Mart as Mark mentioned, or Screwfix, Toolstation etc. all do air wrench and socket sets. £40+ though, and probably for the same item in a different colour Crudders
Roger Ford
The polished ali ones from Machine Mart look so much better than the standard red ones, though whether they're any better "under the skin" is anyone's bet.

mahatma
A bit more expensive but look at Ingersoll - available at cheapish prices on ebay. Much higher torque rating than basic guns. Mine cost me about £75 and it's great.
Beelzebub
I'd 2nd mahatmas post. I bought an Ingersol like this one here for £80.00 plus P&P as the cheapo one i had was coming to the end of its life. The difference in loosening torque is terrific. No nut to tough etc. The rear hub nuts are torqued to around 200ft/lbs & it undoes them at about about half power. Top tool
