Takeshi
Hi I have recently got a Caterham whose MOT will expire in early March. If anyone could advise recommended garages who well take care of Caterhams in Middlesex area, it would be appreciated. Or I had better go Caterham South? DohNut
I use Richmond bridge garage who has been fine for me - but after my recomendation they failed Rogers As I guess you are newish to Caterhams you may prefer to take it to James Whiting near ashford Middx who is a specialist and will get it done for you. Roger Ford
They told me my repaired chassis tube was dangerous because it had been brazed rather than welded Did encourage me to get it done (brazed!) properly by Arch rather than the raceday bodge done before. Edit: Richmond Garage, that is, not James Whiting! In case that wasn't totally clear. Edited by - Roger Ford on 14 Feb 2007 11:30:

Alan L
If it's only the MOT you need doing there is a place in Northwood Hills (Harrow/Ruislip) area that is Se7en friendly. Let me know if you want more details. Alan and his Yellow and Green 1700 BDR HPC.

MusCat
Takeshi If you do decide to use James Whiting (who is very good), e-mail them to book it up, they usually get back to you within 24 hours. Phoning is a bit hit and miss, it's only James and Ruth there, so they can't always be answering the phone as the cars wouldn't get a look in. Takeshi
I've got my seven MOT tested today. I ended up with the place in Northwood recommended by Alan. The guys there were nice and the car passed the test without any problem. One story.. The sump of the seven (1.8 K-series) was too low to get into pit area. (The edge of the pit could hit the sump), but they managed to do their job anyway.... He said other caterhams with Ford engine were not problem... The clearence between the ground and the sump is less than 10cm... Thank again for all of your advise. I have got some knowledge of Seven garages in the area. 😶🌫️
