scooter
Evening, Recently sent my (very!) tatty old cloth S-Type seats to Oxted to be re-trimmed. Just got them both back in shiny new leather and it only cost £250 including postage. Highly recommended.
henry21p
i got a quote for my refurbing my old tattered seats for the same price... nearly fell off my s-types. from me too.
Area Representative Crudders Posted November 19, 2006 Area Representative Share Posted November 19, 2006 Is that an 'all-in' price chaps, i.e. including new plastic back, base and all foam padding? I only ask because I was quoted a higher price from them only a few months back. I'll be heading straight to Oxted if the seats can be fully refurbed and trimmed for £250.00. scooter
Hi Crudders, £250 was what I paid for both seats in leather (including headrests). They replaced the backs and most of the foam/padding. Bargain!
henry21p
That was a "worst case scenario" price for mine... i.e. backs, foam and leather (istr - will dig out the old quote)
alan c
They did both of mine for 250 earlier this year and as far as I can see they replaced the plastic back panel and a fair amount of the foam. Having bought cloth ones second hand I ended up with 'as new' leather seats for a lot less than new. Service from Oxted was good, I dropped the seats off and collected them three days later. RWHomer
Has anyone had their leather seats altered to provide more lumbar support ?
DohNut
My father in law got Oxted to increase the lumbar support on his Merc ML seats so I have no doubts they would be able to do similar on their own seats Nick
