John Ryan
I am selling a crossflow bonnet on 'For sale'. The car it came out of had no heater. It has 3 groups of slats (in pairs) Is this bonnet also the right one for a car with a heater? Thanks John
Area Representative Nick Chan Posted November 17, 2006 Area Representative Share Posted November 17, 2006 Yes - it could be for a car with the earlier flat type heater which was non-recirulating i.e it was either off or on. The later, larger heater (fitted to cars right up to the very latest ones) was the fresh air unit that required an airflow to allow warm air to recirulate round your feet without the heater motor being switched on. The seventh set of louvres at the centre of the back of the bonnet is for the later heater... HTH Nick Now the Orange HPC - A 2.0 VX - 😬
