Easter Eco Run Easter Saturday 30th March starting and finishing at HWM in Walton (the new Caterham dealership) meet 8.15 for 8.45 briefing and a 9.00 start
I have done a major edit to the second half of the route due to  floods and fallen trees and road closures and cyclists but I have added in a stop at Newlands Corner for a rest break and photo op as compensation. The route is now just over thirty miles but will take us the best part of two hours.
There are printed pace notes for each car for those of us yet to enter the 21st Century
Then there is Howards  Way to Shere (pretty similar)

This event is being organised as an Assembly/Precession (just like the Taffia Fish and Chips run but on a much smaller scale) so there is no competitive element. However it would be great if we can gather some petrol consumption statistics so we can build on the data we collected from last year's event. The easiest way to do this is to fill up at the Esso Garage 500 yards down the road off the roundabout the other side of Walton Bridge before you arrive at HWM and make a note of the mileage (photo)  and ditto when you return. Man math's will then be applied.  We are doing a visit to the Morgan Factory on April 16th  including a test drive in a Morgan 3 which apparently does about 30 Miles Per Gallon (sorry I am still living in the Imperial Past) so some of us should be able to do better than that. If you want to join us, details on that event are in the April section of the Events page.
The aim is to be back at HWM by 11.00 for a tour of the HISTORIC HWM SHOWROOM and THE AUCTION. If you do not make the Eco run but but would like to come on the showroom tour and participate in the AUCTION then that is fine as well. Just  turn up in your SEVEN AT ELEVEN.
The event is free but £20 on the Club Charity site would be appreciated (but is not compulsory).

And/or you can bid in the AUCTION. This year I l have driven the route (several times) in our family Renault Zoe, (there is a fast charger at the Esso Garage if you would like to bring your electric Seven) so we have an electric car cost reference point. We will also have Seven owner  and club member Amir Jahannia's 800 Horsepower Ford Mustang pacing us round the Surrey Hills and if that car uses less petrol than us I will eat my Ten Gallon Texan Cowboy Hat. (Amir's Seven is in for a service and MOT that day) . This means we have cars that span 80 horsepower (160) to 800 horsepower participating in this event.
Amir's car also features in the Auction which r includes
    Auction items
A Morning out with Amir in the Mustang (the lights are his as well)
Morning out with Seven Owner and Club Member Feroz in his equally breathtaking 1973 911 RS ex race car (or 2001 911 GT3 if the RS is feeling moody)
We will try and do these to coincide with one of our monthly meetings at the Hare and Hounds in Osterley on the third Saturday of every month (Including the London Concours in September).
Test drive of a 420 Cup with Ollie- with thanks to HWM
A very fine book (two volumes) on HWM's illustrious racing support team history - with thanks to HWM
Any item from Seven owner and Club member John Rae’s Aladdin’s cave of 3D printed parts for Sevens that you never knew you needed but somehow always wanted. (His Uberniche Brand.
    https://uberniche.co.uk/
Low lift trolley jack from Seven owner and club member Colin Ford (and lots of free advice on anything you need to know about your Seven
Not sure about THE CHOCOLATE TEA POT as that appears to have sustained damage in transit however every Seven turning up at the Eco Event gets a free Easter Egg. Please let us know if your Seven has an egg allergy and RSVP via the Club link otherwise we will not know how many Eggs to Buy
