Thanks Ned, I seem have have finished it quicker than I thought, I have it booked for it's PBC on the 8th april so I have plenty of time so sort out the last few little job's. I hope you enjoy the build as much as I have, and if you need any advise just ask.

Great stuff. Mine car is due for the PBC on the 13th (and we are going to trailer it up on the 11th). It seems quite a few other 160s will be in at that time. I have not had any confirmation about an IVA date yet though.

That's very kind! I'm sure I'm going to need plenty of guidance around the tricky corners...

Good luck both of you with the IVA!

I'm trailering mine up on the 7th of April for the PBC on the 9th.  I'm still waiting after 4.5 weeks for VOSA for my IVA test date, then I have to contact the test station to get the appointment and then the DVLA have another 6 weeks to get the plate sorted.  Is anyone going to the Caterham South Opening event on the 6th?

Regards

Martin

We can't make the Caterham event on the 6th (but it looks good). We are hoping to go away in the car in July... I thought I would have loads of time but now I'm getting a little worried!

Sadly I can't make it either. Mind you, I'll be building my car instead...

The whole post-build process is going to be very frustrating, I know. Having the car sitting in the garage finished but undriveable. There's only a certain amount of polishing that can be done!

Hi Mike, your starting symptoms are identical to mine, do you hear the fuel pump priming as mine didn't. What changed it was the new ECU that derek sent me. I replaced the old one in a straight swap and the car started 2nd turn of the key. It had started a few times since, I know the new ECU didn't work for Simon

Morning Martin,

No I can't hear the fuel pump ,I did lift up the lid above the ful tank to try and check the wiring and all looked ok.  I suspect I may have the ECU problem as you. I would have loved to have heard it start before it goes up for it's PBC but it goes up tomorrow. So no more fiddling time!  They can fix it at least it will all be ok when I get it back. But I will check with them what was wrong.
