This is the first blog I have ever done so it probably be a bit of a mess.
The second hand engine was in excellent condition and I could have just dropped it in. Because the standard pistons are a bit weak and I intend to use it for track days I decided to upgrade the pistons on a budget! . I sourced a second hand set of VVC 160 pistons with new rings from DVA along with gaskets etc. This soon adds up!, the cylinder head was standard but exhaust valve were shot, full of pits.
