I will try to make it to the next meeting if I'm not working. I have been out today, the roads are terrible! never seen as many holes,gravel and mud.

Was out in the 7 today (did the long way to work and back) and the road back (coming across from Croft way towards Yarm), which is a lovely road, was a mess. Dirty, mega bumpy and full of holes. Never noticed it so bad, but actually wasn't a pleasant experience today as so bad. Car was bucking about everywhere

I am considering my options, this car blew the doors off mine down the straights,cost less than half my car! I can pick up a Megabusa for less than the cost my car standard and I have thrown a load of cash at it. Ok they are not as nice but they seem to handle just as well and are diy rebuild friendly. I am not keen on the looks but I have seen one for sale with a Kawasaki 1400 engine and it's a bargain. I realise this is probably not the correct place to ask but has anyone had one, the Megabusa seems to get rated highly. Much as I would like a high performance Caterham I can't afford the premium,and my efforts to build a decent high performance 1.8 seemed to have failed miserably.

Look at the state of the work on that car,the inlet manifold did not match the head, we are talking 1/4 inch steps in the wrong direction, carbs miles out! water leaks from most hoses, terrible brakes drums on rear and a live axle. If this car was set properly and had some time and small amount of cash spent on it. I would get lapped quite quickly! 

I am looking to have one last go at getting some decent power out of a K series but I may throw the towel in if the expense starts to ramp up too much

Oh forget after all that effort I made around 145/150 bhp at the flywheel ,quite pleased with that but after two rolling road days cam swings, compression tests, different size airhorns, air box on and off ,it peaked at 6000 rpm eek and it completely gone by 6500.

One Toyota engine dragged out of a scrap car,cams thrown in, wrong inlet manifold, oversize carbs wrongly jetted and a 175 bhp at over 7500 and still climbing!  manifold air leaks, most of air filters inside carbs and inlet manifold etc, etc  

New cylinder head lets see if I can manage 100 bhp per liter ( optimistic )
