My only thought is thats a lot of surface area of filter to be fed through one of those little vents on the bonnet side?

Mine does exactly this too, but usually after being used hard, ie trackday, Curborough etc, and recovers randomly several days later.

Did sprint school at Curborough and it wouldn't start for the last run of the day. Got it home and circa 2 hours later wouldn't start. Wouldn't start following day. 3 days later I walked past it in the garage, pressed the red button and it started immediately. Mine is a K series, immobilser gone as it caased other issues but being replaced with something modern and better.

I've a good 4 wheel car trailer ( Can't remember if Brian James or Ifor Williams. I seem to recall seeing the fibreglass tops for sale for these, to convert it to a race shuttle type. Has anyone done this, seen them etc? Ta, Ed
