You could get your local vinyl signs people to make the figures on magnetic material like as what van signs are made from and then get a sticky back to go on a steel plate. You would need a loy of figures though or just get a plain black magnetic sheet and cut you own. I havn't got an American National Pipe Taper but I do have a 1/4"bsp. Our stores lists the NPT and BSP fittings as the same although they are slightly different. One thread is 18tpi and the other is 19tpi. I can send you the BSP die and a BSP tap to tweak the last bit of thread if thats any good? before I go mad!!! I want a clutch friction plate. Just the friction plate. I don't want the kit. I don't want the cover or CRB. Just the fekn plate!! I want a 228mm o/d plate with a ford 23 spline centre. They are fitted to the Focus 1.8TD and 2ltr16v, Galaxy 1.9 Turbo Diesel (89PS) Galaxy 2.0 16V, 2.3 16V, 2.8 V6 2WD/4WD and a Mondeo 1.8TD. My local scrappies "don't keep 'em. We just bin 'em". The Ford dealers only do kits (unlike Rover dealers who can supply from a part number). The likes of Burtons want a squillion pounds for uprated ones. I just want to get hold of one of the most prolific clutch plates available!!! If anyone has one lying around or know of any friendly scrappies who can help out, please let me know!! I just managed to dump Talk Talk! They took on my BT account without my knowledge ("you must have filled in a questionaire or agreed to a canvasser"). They promised to save me £25 a month so I stayed with them. The first bill had £45 worth of internet calls "because that number is not free with us, only BT"!! They then sent the bailiffs to collect money owed from two months before I had an account with them. The final straw came when they sent me a bailiffs letter to collect an unpaid bill which included several "failed payment" charges due to there being insufficient funds in my Nationwide account. I have never had a Nationwide account. I still had to pay the bill and the charges because thier files showed they I had filled in a DD mandate with the wrong bank details on it. Which I never *mad* I have bough two mobies from CPW every year for the last 8-9years, but I'm sure I won't again. Sorry. You need to measure the stems to see if they are worn but usually its the guides 'cos they are made from softer stuff. Cheese for example. It's not unusual to have slight burs on the tops of valves. Wet & dry or similar will sort them. I have spent many many hours franticly rubbing, getting callouses on the palms of my hands, but thats a different story...... After you think you have ground the valves in, drop a little paraffin/similar round the seat and see if it leaks away to the valve stem/port. Screwfix do the normal 2" straps (http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?ts=93273&id=18170) but Machine Mart do the wheel ones (www.machinemart.co.uk) I just put a fixed strap onto the back of the car to the rear of the trailer then keep winching until it pulls tight down onto the suspension and off we go. Is there no way of bolting a towbar to your garage? Either on a wall or on a pole concreted into the floor?
