For sale is the complete engine package from my 2004 road sport.  The engine is a mildly tuned 1.6K supersport  that compares very favorably with any 1.8 , it is without doubt the smoothest engine that I have ever driven in a Caterham and just loves to rev.  I fully rebuilt the engine less than 3000 miles ago and it has only been used on the road. The engine is still in the car so can be viewed running.

Spec :-  lightly ported cylinder head, supersport cams, verniers,R500 flywheel and clutch, R500 crank pulley,wet sump with apollo tank,polished caterham 4/1 competition exhaust,engine mounts,alternator,bell housing Clutch fork and release bearing,MEMS ECU and engine loom, MFU,water rail and hoses. Starter motor & spacer.

I want £1725 for the complete package.

Peak power is measured at the wheels on the power run, the car is then allowed to coast down without any power input from the engine the losses measured again at the wheels are subtracted from the peak power and a power reading at the flywheel can then be calculated.  Purists would argue that only readings taken directly from the engine on a Dyno are accurate.  Glad you have found your missing power, the RR is the perfect tool for a problem such as yours.

I understand that the early conical springs were supplied by Kent Cams and that these were later replaced by the Cosworth Conical springs.  Kent  told me in 2016 that they had now changed their spring material for this application.

I also use the soft spring method and push down the cam follower until valve piston contact is made and take measurements with a DT! .  I found out that the suspension springs from my old Lynn Sondek fitted perfectly and are about 8lbs/inch.  Ebay is your friend for these

For sale a complete dry sump kit to fit the caterham Rover K engine installations.  Comprises DS Sump Pan , Gold Oil scavenge pump, pump mount and auto belt tensioner, Belt, R500 ali pulley, RH engine mount. A cleverly designed Aluminium bulk oil tank that sits  on the scuttle tray, expertly fabricated by Mike Riley aka Metal Micky , all lightweight braded hoses and fixing bolts, this kit is in very good condition and cost over £2000 , grab yorself a bargain on this rare equipment,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your cams are too mild to make any substantial use of the upgraded throttle body injection.  Suggest you fit some BP285M or hotter .

I am looking for a standard upper steering column for an imperial S3 Caterham ( put another way the non removable steering wheel type) and also a boss to go with it that will mount a Momo wheel.

The going rate for injector servicing is around £60 for the 4.   You can buy an ultrasonic cleaning bath on ebay for £40 and some white spirit, I now use one.  To test the flow is even you need 4 plastic measuring cylinders , point the injectors into the cyclinders and run for a minute and check they all flow the same.  The measuring cylinders are £2 each of ebay.

Geoff I have been fitting the HOF 203 for years, there are no problems and they are very good value.

I find it incredable that Caterham well sell a top of the range car that is too fast to exploit its potential on the road and too noisy to use on a trackday without modification.

If you are running with standard Hypoy oil try refilling with MTL

Super 3 person Geodesic Performance tent that packs up small and does not take much space up in the Caterham boot.  Although its spec'd as a 3 person its IMO a 2 person in comfort tent.  Perfect for Touring / track days  , in perfect condition only used once on a trip to the ring. The tent retails at £140 grab a bargain.
