As Mike Bees indicated it might be worth checking the ECU, since the K-series ECUs may not be the most reliable - at least according to my experiences: My K-1.6 (standard tune) got into a habit of dying completely and very suddenly. The problem was eventually traced to a faulty fuel pump relay, intermittently robbing the fuel pump of power. Trouble was that said relay is integrated in the ECU - which costs around GBP 480,-! I would be very interested in other people's experiences with K-series engines.
