Sunday afternoon - a white Seven passed us on the A25 - we were the grey Seven with its roof up going east. Hope you managed to avoid the downpour we'd just passed through!

Unfortunately SLR No. 77's seats are S3 and I didn't know they were a different size, thus my edit to indicate my car is an SV.
-
Anyone got cloth seats or seat bases for sale?
Just updated to indicate that the seats are for an SV, not an S3........

Easter Sunday afternoon, a dark green Seven paused by the carpark of The Compasses on the A25 in Gomshall (where we were enjoying a meal) - seemed to be looking at our grey Seven.

GJ02NCB?

Yellow Seven registration L22........ heading east along Hurst Road, Walton on Thames around lunchtime today - looked as if you turned into the Thames Water Walton Treatment Works. We were in the metallic grey Mazda CX30 that passed you just before the entrance.

Just been researching Rover MGs with 1.8k engines registered in 2003 for sale and checking if their reg is compliant or not using the TFL check site. Puzzle is some are, some aren't and I can't see what the difference is.
-
In view of Mayor Khan's intention despite high levels of opposition to extend the ULEZ to include ALL Greater London Boroughs, has anyone any idea what would need to be done to a Rover 1.8k to make it ULEZ compliant? Is it even possible?

Stu - many thanks

Saw you by Mellows Park, Stafford Road, Wallington at around 11:45 today. Hope you enjoyed a blat.........

Hi Andrew - thanks for the info. But there are a few small problems - they don't give you a specific McGard part number - they list six, all suffixed SL, whereas elsewhere they appear to be SU, so you can't check out other suppliers, they're twice the price of Halfords, even without the Club discount, and currently they don't have them in stock.
So I'm still stuck, and need the actual part number of a set that have been fitted to a Seven.
-
Stu and SM25T - I've looked up McGard nuts on both Halfords and the company site - they give part numbers (for instance 24157SU) rather than saying which car they fit. Could you please tell me what the part number is?
-
Thanks - I'll have a look for them

I have a 2003 SV and want to fit locking wheelnuts - what match should I look for? - Ford?

Red with rollcage heading south on B269 towards Crockham Hill this afternoon (7th Aug)
We were in the grey Seven heading north.

Thanks, guys. We did everything suggested on here (except JK's Plans B and C - maybe at a later date when we feel a bit more adventurous!). Lifted the front high enough that the tyre carrier on the back nearly touched the floor. And it all worked.
JK - don't know if we were lucky or what, but everything seemed to be a perfect fit. The only things we had to adjust were the connections to the fan and fan switch - and all that entailed was cutting and refitting the cable ties to give a little extra length. But I'll keep an eye on the hose fittings, just in case.

My son and I have just installed a new Radtec radiator in my 2003 1.8 k roadsport (this is NOT a VVC).
How do we bleed all the air out of the cooling system?
-
Hi David - glad to see someone else also uses their Seven to commute!

I've had to have a helicoil fitted for the sump plug due to impact damage. First attempt the helicoil and plug pulled out when tightened. Second attempt it holds, but weeps oil.
So I'm after a replacement Caterham Rover 1.8 K Series wet sump.

Hi krisfl - just saw your post and the date: could have been us, but I thought we left earlier than that. Did you notice a silver bonnet stripe on the car?
-
Thanks, that's what I thought..........

Around 5:30pm on the M23 heading north - GX51KKN - we played tag for a while before you turned off. Hope you'd had a good day - we certainly had!
