I’m sure I’ve got the complete heater, valve etc in the garage. It was removed from my 1997 car. I’ll take a look this weekend.

Ahh... So it's a Pinto starter that fits not a crossflow one. That make a bit of sense because all the crossflow ones appear to be 9 tooth, 2 bolt and for a 110 tooth ring gear. Where the one I've taken off is 10 tooth, 3 bolt and the ring gear has 130+ teeth.

So the car is a 1997 1.7 Ford crossflow with an Odyssey PC680 battery and the starter motor struggles to start the car. I've just removed the starter which looks like a standard pre engaged starter (although is does have "high power" written in marker pen ). Which starter motor do you think I should be fitting and from where should I be buying it? Thanks in advance for your comments
