  1. Thanks for all your comments, I have now changed my oil for 5w 50 however the low tick over pressure when hot still persists. Just hovers on the edge of the red on the gauge. I have also noticed the needle is jumping about. So where do I get a mechanical gauge? do I need a different sender unit too?
  2. I have a 1996 Roadsport with a k series supersport engine. I have changed the oil using Mobil 3000, 15w 30 fully synthetic, filter and foam sump insert. When the car is running hot the oil pressure drops to very near the red mark on the gauge on tick over then moves to around 2 bar when running at normal road driving is this ok ? Im driving to Italy this summer and it worries me!
  3. Having purchased a set of AVO Dampers, I have started to fit them only to find the springs could do with replacing as well. What spring rates front and rear would be best for fast road/touring use on a k series roadsport ?
  4. I replaced my clutch and crb last winter with parts you mentioned. Dindnt fit new bolts or replaced the clutch fork. When you lift the engine/gerbox out its worth spending time to getting the lift angle right especially on its re fitting. Remember your gearbox oil will poor out the back of the gearbox if you havnt removed it first! Might be worth replacing the rubber engine mounts if its an old car and gearbox rubber mount. Good luck. Takes 3 times as long as you think it will!!! but its not difficault.
  5. I have a 12 yr old k series 7 which has developed a noise at low speed when depressing the clutch. It sounds like a dry running thrust bearing but is intermittent and only happens at low speed. Before I take the engine out to replave the clutch and thrust bearing thought I would ask if anyone has any ideas what else it might be.
