As subject title I'm selling an almost new Sparkrite carrier to carry 4 bikes. Link to full spec on Amazon below:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00ZJ0A0JW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It was bought at the beginning of July with the intention of my wife carrying hers and my two daughters bikes (plus mine occasionally)attached to her car. Unfortunately it's a little heavy for her to manage on her own at just over 17kgs and I'm not always around to assist so we are going back to the drawing board! It has only been used twice but carried 3 bikes easily and securely with plenty of room for a 4th one. Already assembled and ready to go, all you need is a number plate which can be bought for a tenner off eBay.
£200.00 ono to include free delivery within a 50 mile radius of Birmingham. Alternatively I'm sure we could arrange to meet halfway if that suits. More pictures via link below:

Now sorted

Has anybody got 2 of these lying around (possibly after a carbon upgrade)? With or without indicators fitted.
I had to modify my old ones to fit the lowered headlamp brackets but now want to switch back.

Thanks for looking.

Followed you along the A38 from Markeaton Island to the A6 turn off. Assume you were on your way back from Donington?

Posting on behalf of Stuart Cater (stuart147), I can honestly say that you won't find a cleaner, more well looked after 7.
Link to ad on PH below, please contact Stuart directly via the number on the advert or direct message on here:

As others have said, it was a great day with superb organisation. If it is run again next year I can highly recommend it to anyone looking to dip their toe into Track Days.
Thanks again.

Hi Jonathan, the car had been to the garage for a check and I think they'd used an a airgun as the nuts were incredibly tight when I came to remove them. Once I'd put on the new wheels I tightened them slightly while the car was on the jack then fully once lowered. It was then I noticed two just turning. When I removed them their thread was stripped around the bolt. Yes it was the first time these bolts had been used with the Minilites. They are closed nuts and I used a proper wheel nut tool (can't think of proper name) and then was going to use torque wrench.

You may have seen from my other posts that I've had fun and games tonight and ended up stripping two of my wheel nuts.
Two questions:
How do I stop it happening again, should I apply some grease or copperslip?
Do I have the right ones? Car came with Caterham 8 spoke anthracite wheels. The existing nuts have the chamfered edge. I wanted to put on some Minilites and assumed the same nuts would be OK as hole is also countersunk.
Interested in people's thoughts.

Paul, you are a genius! Made me realise I still have the old bracket in the garage with 2 nuts on it!
See you all in the morning.
-
Hi Everyone, in my excitement to get the car ready after getting out of work tomorrow I have managed to strip not one but two wheel nuts.
I'm still coming in the hope that someone might have some spares!
See you tomorrow.

No problem BC, anyone else before they head for eBay?
-
Thanks for your interest BC, Nick's measuring up tonight and will let me know tomorrow.
-
Hi Jonathan,
The moulded grips are to hold the bikes in place and stop them slipping. Have just measured and they are 42cm long.
Stu
Nick, interest noted.
-
Hi Jonathan,
I'll measure it when I get back this evening.

Thule Bike Rack from Ashford to Midlands (or anywhere in between)
in Helping others
Posted
A bit of a long shot but have just won an ebay auction from a Thule 3 bike rack. Only issue is that it's collection only from the wilds of Kent. Thought I'd ask if anyone can help me, if not I'll drive down on the 10th to collect it.
It's the sort of thing that would fit in a large hatchback or estate car. If you think you can help I will get the full dimensions.
Any help would be appreciated even if it's only getting it closer to the M25.
Thanks in advance.
