  1. Neil,

I'd heard that you weren't competing this year but not that you'd sold your car. Sorry that we won't be seeing you around the paddocks. Many thanks for the advice and help you gave me as a newcomer. Hopefully we'll see you back sometime in the future.

  2. Ok, dumb question but I'll ask anyway-

If you camp on the adjacent site what happens in the morning given that events usually start early? Do you pack up at 6.00 am, risk waking the campers near you, and drive out? Are the site gates even open at that time? From my previous, admittedly limited, experience sites do not allow vehicle movements before certain time in the morning which is after our events usually start.

I assume the best plan is to leave the Caterham and trailer in the circuit paddock the night before but I would still need to pack up the tent and drive out in the tin top.

  3. Agreed! Great day and a great bunch of people. Thanks to all but especially Simon and Adrian. I learnt a lot, mainly trying too hard and turning in too early. I think the approach of repeating the same corner rather than trying to do full laps from the start was spot on. Certainly value for money, probably had more useful practice in that one day than in a host of trackdays. Simon and Adrian were great, full of enthusiasm, encouragement and willing to share their experience. Even the sun shone!

  4. Andrew,

Really sorry to see you go from Class 1 even if the laws of physics that apply to you seem to be different to the rest of us - well me at least!!!

    Good luck in Class 3.

  5. Firstly to the organisers and, especially, the marshals for two great days of motorsport at Curborough and for putting up with some appalling weather.

Secondly, to everyone who offered help, advice, tools etc. following my surplus of speed over skill that resulted in a visit to the barrriers. Without your encouragement I would have called it a day on Saturday lunchtime and gone home to lick my wounds. Instead I was still there driving on Sunday.

Thanks to all, and hope to see you at Aintree.

  6. Ian,

Been away for the weekend and just fired up blatchat to find this thread! Immensely relieved to hear that you're ok. Couldn't believe my eyes watching the video, seems Mark Webber had a big influence on you! If SWMBO see's it I may not be allowed out to play again!!

Again, really pleased you're ok and look forward to seeing back again soon.

    All the best,

    Steve
