  1. Good that you have it sorted As for a Wales Blat watch this space ... yes a good idea, there will likely be a mix of cars though and clearly I'll not be in the 7 Luckily I do have a couple of good alternatives to hand Sunday 30th April looks a good date
  2. Blimey ... engine out already, did the CRB suddenly go, very unlucky. There is quite a lot of oil to get round with the wet sump & apollo. Mazda is good thanks, engine is really sweet, the NA Mazda block gives BBR a good canvas to work with, much better than I had hoped - decent low down grunt and good top end at 7,000rpm. Not the ferocity of the 7 but enough to keep me amused.
  3. What's your OP problem Rhauri ? Sods law I suppose but never had any issue whatsoever with OP, always been strong and acurately monitored ... SPA gauge is a great piece of kit. Sometimes takes a few secs to register on start up if left for a long time.
  4. After 16 years of 7 ownership we have decided to have a change of strategy to get my fix. Basically just don't have time for 'seven ownership' at the moment so our car is up for sale . . . arghhhhh !! I will post further details in due course but the car is a high spec 2003 K series with DVA mods putting out 197bhp at 7,500rpm. The brief for the engine was to be reliable, safe and with good road manners which is exactly what Oily delivered. The car has been used for fast road touring and has provided the most fun I will likely ever have on 4x wheels .... 7x years of ScotBlat touring around the highlands finest blacktop. The spec is pretty much R400, LSD, 6x Speed, wide track, big brakes, Black Art Design Springs & Dampers, progressive springs all round with v high quality 1x way adjustable dampers, Apollo (no dry sump) , laminova, tillets, powerspeed 4-2-1, 13" wheels with new Toyo 888R tyres. Bodywork is good but has usual stone chips, not a garage queen but certainly not battered either, chassis & wishbones etc are mint, the car having virtually no winter use. No bumps !! Mileage : 31,800 Priced I hope sensibly at £18,750, available immediately, based south Manchester. Blatmail me for further details. 150+ bhp 7

Sardean, I have a high spec 2003 Roadsport for sale, 197bhp, DVA K Series. Pics taken this week below : https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6e9kzzbcfulel7i/AABbDgcX-29bprD6sYiaib2ra?dl=0 Pretty much R400 spec, tillet seats and quality springs and dampers, fully adjustable etc. I've not had chance to pull together sales details yet but happy to chat over the phone if you are interested .... car not advertised anywhere yet. I think it would have all your essentials other than the lowered floor. I've not even got my head around what it's worth as only just decided to sell !! Further detailed spec etc to follow but blatmail me if you'd like a further chat about the car. Cheers, Simon
  6. Jack - will do, I will email over shortly - thanks !! Adrian - noted, consider mine yours, I'll let you know when I have changed over. Cheers, Simon
  7. Jack, About 18 months, we bought it sim free for our son and he has just upgraded to a new one. Battery seems OK, obviously not as good as when new but perfectly serviceable. I'm running one of a similar age and manage fine with careful charging, I also carry one of those 'lipstick' type chargers if I know I'm going to have a very heavy day usage wise. (I'll be doing the same with mine in a few months, just put off because the old 5 seems to work perfectly well with marshmallow !!) Cheers, Simon
  8. A used Google Nexus '5' 16gb, black, unlocked and running the latest native version of Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. The phone comes with a high quality unused black slimline case and a new screen protector. The phone is used but has had a full case/screen saver on from new and hence is in near perfect condition, virtually unmarked. Going on eBay in the next few days but offered here at £75 inc of postage for the phone, case & screen protector. Cheers, Simon
  9. Hi Phil, No we were heading via Dukes pass, Glencoe, Kinlochleven loop for shellfish then Coran ferry etc ... Weather was epic but the overnight on Mull absolutely stunning, just stunning. Came back via Oban & Dunoon to make a nice loop . . . . We like the NW of Scotlad
  10. 'twas me and a couple of friends on a quick blat to Mull for the evening ... 2x days, about 860 miles, some er 'mixed' weather, 20x of the biggest Langoustine I have ever seen and a few beers by the sea under Ben More. Happy blatting guys . . .
  11. All, Quick one .... does anybody know the size of bolt that holds the support Bracket to the RB's ? K Series R300. Ta Simon
  12. Hi Tom Sounds like good progress, are you going to keep the 500's for summer or switch back to something else ? I've been debating trying CR500's for some time but never got round to it because i'd have to alter the set up slightly ... plus my car had 15" wheels originally so i'd need new stays too. Partly I'm being lazy as i've run 888's for as long as i can remember, get em cheap and there are lots of things about them i really like BUT I would like to try a lighter tyre with softer side walls. Must make the effort to try a set as i've been offered a new set to have a go on ...
  13. 16gb LG Google Nexus '4' Smartphone c/w black rubber case ... Screen protector and case from new so virtually unmarked condition, inc the screen with no scratches Purchased direct from Google and therefore unlocked. Native Android .... Lollipop upgrade due in the next few weeks. £75 inc postage within UK.
  14. Ade, Really sorry but just realised I had a mail from another member who got in before you ...... just had no idea the mail was there as hadn't got to grips with how the new mail system works !!! Arghhhh. I didn't get a notification and wasn't logged in so was oblivious to the mail. Hate messing you about but I should really give them 1st dibs if thats OK. Sorry again .... Simon
  15. AdeC, Yes still in boxes in the lounge.... just not had time to get on eBay yet. Drop me a mail if you want any more info. Cheers, Simon
  16. As per the title my trusty Naim CD3.5 CD Player and Naim Flatcap Power Supply. Both in mint condition, pretty much as new. One owner http://www.lotus7.club/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/regular_smile.png, boxed, manuals, remote, all leads inc Naim specific interconnect ... plus the original purchase receipt. All in perfect working order, I've just ripped all my CD's to a NAS so superfluous to requirements. Pictures here ..... https://www.dropbox.com/s/6v1djyttz8mtopa/2014.10.04%2C%20Naim%20CD3.5%20%26%20Flatcap%20Power%20Supply%2C%20RFS.pdf?dl=0 £295 + Postage for the pair (would prefer not to post really for fear of damage http://www.lotus7.club/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/omg_smile.png )
  17. Loooooking forward to receipt of your route ..... 😬 😬 Big Dave not holding his breath for 'tea stops' *smokin*
  18. 200 miles to break em in eh Pete Nice 😬
  19. Peter, Really interesting thread 😬 Completely agree with the above .... but it is possible to change the way the car drives to suit individual preferences, by spending good money without "mucking up their good work". Note I did not use the word 'upgrade' 😬 😬 I am really pleased the way my aftermarket springs & dampers have sharpened up the feel & composure of the car, yet still maintaining the ability to travel down a poor road without shaking your teeth out ... to Simon Rogers who was very helpful in explaining the set up I was after ...
  20. Tom, yes that is correct. There appears to be much debate on the progressive spring vs linear spring debate and from what I have read linear seems to be the preferred option for dedicated track work being more predictable at the limit, but for those of us looking for that ideal compromise and who are probably not pushing quite that hard it seemed to make sense .. insofar as I could understand the technical explanation that is 😳 Worth noting that 888's have quite stiff sidewalls i believe which will no doubt be a contributing factor, I can't comment from experience but 350lb springs on the front must be sooooo stiff
