Yeah, I'd go along with HT problems somewhere. if the car is 4yrs+ old I replace all HT related items regardless. Touch wood, I've never broken down... that's blown it, here comes the curse of he who opens his mouth Sorry, paul, just missed your last post. The temperature related nature of the missfire points towards an expansion contraction thing somewhere within a plug or socket. Check the mechanical integrity of anything you've disturbed recently. Being an ex broadcast engineer, I agree with the decent ariel and cable argument, but most cheap digiboxes have a crap front end (input ariel amplifier) bought off the shelf for the lowest possible price. Typicaly less than 10% of the purchase price actually goes into the gubbins that makes it work. The resultant lack of sensitivity may mean even if your signal is good you may still need a booster. Have a look in the setup menu of the box it may have a signal strength bar to help you out. If the signal strength is good and you are still getting artifacts, the ariel is not up to it. If the signal strength is bad first if you can, try fine tuning the ariel position, then resort to the booster. Good luck. Simon

Yup, Blackstuff is what you need. A silkathane, like windscreen adhesive or similar. Get everything really clean. These need warmth and humidity to cure to maximum strength so don't do it when it's cold and dry. Good luck, Simon.
