You were the first of 3 Sevens we spotted on that day.
I agree with you, it was too nice a day to waste it in the tin top. This was our first blat in the Peaks but we hope to return again this year before the weather changes.
Your Seven looks great with those colours by the way.

*wavey*Hi Green Sneaker,
It was my wife who spotted you as we drove through the village.
Did a u turn and drove into the field where you were parked but didn't know if you were watching or playing cricket or perhaps in the beer garden.
Looking at your location (Beer Town) I guess it was the latter.
We were on our way home after a day in the Peak District. You were actually our third spot of the day but so far your'e the only one to post a reply.
Thanks also for the spot, it's our first in two and a half years.

You were parked on the cricket field just across from Sudbury Hall.

*wavey*Passed you on our way into Buxton from Chapel-en-le-Frith. We waved - don't know if you saw us.

Passed you going down the High Street. You were waving frantically and so were we.
We were on our way to Edale. What a great day for a blat in the peaks.

Dee,
I think traffic lights is the best option. It usually takes me 15 - 20 minutes to get to Junction 3 on week-days. I hope your'e right.

Thanks everyone,
There's obviously more to this than meets the eye (or should that be ear).

Hi Dee,
I have seen a BRG + Ali locally although it was a while back. That must have been you.
I've also spent ages filling up at that same filling station, not a problem any longer though as I had the filler flap removed.
The Somers island is appararently undergoing safety improvements.
I hope to get along to one of the WAGS meetings in the near future so perhaps we will see each other there.

No it wasn't you I saw. The exhaust was on the wrong side to be a Sigma engined car.
I think it was either a W or Y reg K series. Probably the car Dee Pee mentioned earlier.
I'll keep a look out for you just the same. Which gym do you use?

Thanks. I'll check them both out.

I'm looking to purchase some ear plugs and would welcome any suggestions.
Preferably the re-usable type. Has anyone tried the Alpine Motosafe plugs or anything similar?

Rog,
As already stated get the new map. It's free and takes between 45 minutes to an hour.
The latest one is map H.
It should solve the problem.

Hi Rob,
Often pass through Hartlebury and then on to Stourport to cross the Severn. I usually then head off towards Gt Witley and Bromyard, I'll keep an eye out for you.
If you ever fancy going for a blat let me know, perhaps Dee Pee will also tag along!

Same circumstances as Toby. I phoned CC Midlands about another matter and was told there was a new engine map and to bring the car in and they would do it.

Mal,
Maybe you could ask the nice people at Caterham to do the re-map and leave the pops and bangs intact.
Seriously though it is a big improvement.

My Sigma 150 used to pop and bang on the overun but the latest re-map has cured it.
A shame really because it sounded great.

I'll try and make one of the WAGs meetings in the next month or so.
However if they are looking for more people to attend it's probably better not to post any more photos

Hi Dee Pee,
I'm not far from you. Just off the A456 at Hayley Green. Nice to know there's another Sevener local to me, I rarely seem to see a Seven in this neck of the woods.
My usual blat takes me over the Clent Hills to Belbroughton and then out into Worcestershire,Shropshire or Herefordshire.
Keep an eye open for a Viper Blue Roadsport.

You were coming from the direction of Hagley heading in towards Stourbridge at about 10.30 this morning.

Collected my Sigma 150 yesterday from CC Midlands after the re-map.
Not much to report on the 60 mile trip home as it was raining and I had the hood up and took things carefully.
Took it out again this morning and the improvement is quite noticeable.
Pulling away in first is much smoother and the power now feeds in with no apparent flat spots.
I used to have the occasional problem when re-starting when the engine was warm, often needing to dab the throttle to prevent stalling. This seems to have been cured.
The other major difference is that during an hour long blat this morning there was no popping or banging.
Definately worth getting this latest map if you haven't already done so.
Cheers,
Russ

Dropped my Sigma 150 off at CC Midlands today for the latest re-map.
Nick at Caterham reckons it has totally transformed the car.
I will let you know my thouhgts when I get it back next Saturday.

Sigma 150 mapping

I'd send it back for the latest re-map? I think from memory it's re-map 'H'.
Most owners with a 150 Sigma have had this done and it seems to have solved the problems most of us have experienced.
