  1. We had the same on our build last year; plenty of fuel, engine turning over, immobiliser off, inertia switch working, but no noise from the fuel pump (you'll know it when you hear it, just a brief whirring from the boot when you turn the ignition on). After much checking, double checking, calls to Derek, etc. I called out an auto electrician who diagnosed a bent pin in the plug connecting to the fuel pump. Bingo! Pin was straightened and she started immediately, while he backed off quickly as the two of us danced around the car like a couple of loonies!
  2. You may have already tried this, but when we had any issues on our build, we just sent an email with photos to Derek at Caterham and his response was always helpful. Sometimes we had just got it wrong or he identified a faulty or incorrect part and sent a replacement immediately. Either way, we got the issues sorted. Can't recommend him enough! Roy
  3. Only 124 shopping days to Xmas (i.e. every day as the shops never close anymore! ), so you can start dropping hints about that book you've always wanted?
  4. It would make an excellent late Father's Day present...
  5. By Nick Mason & Mark Hales (ISBN 1-85227-225-2) A review of 22 x cars from Nick Mason's collection, including a CD with sound tracks. The book is worth it just for the soundtrack of the BRM alone! It's brand new, unopened and still in its original shrink-wrap. Why? Because I already have another copy and this one was bought for me afterwards, but I've only just found it again! Now only £24.99 including UK P&P PLUS: I'll throw in a mint copy of The Man Who Would Not Die by Stephen Olvey (ISBN 978-84425-510-8). A fascinating read about... well, a man who wouldn't die, but of course he did. Oh buggar, now I've spoiled the ending, but it's free, if you buy Into the Red!
  6. I've sent you a private message. I have a set of photos from Derek which I can forward, as we had the same problem! Roy
  7. Reduced price, as above - I need the space in my garage! £695 for the pair (£630 EACH from Caterham)
  8. Now sold! 2 x Composite Race Seat package, one adjustable and one fixed. Complete with runners, spacers and all fixings. Brand new and unused. As per Part No. SE81K on Caterham Parts website. £695 for the pair. I'd rather sell both together, but will consider splitting if I have offers for both. Based in Hitchin, Herts. Roy
  9. One owner from new, top of the range specification with full Mitsubishi service history. Bodywork, interior and tyres all in good condition, metallic grey, 39,000 miles. 90+ mpg running on battery for local runs and great for longer journeys that use the petrol engine. Please send a private message if you need any further details. I live near Hitchin, Herts. £14,995
  10. Rob, I've sent you a private mail and a text, but no reply? Our Scout group are always in need of tents, so I'll definitely take it if it's still available Roy
  11. Mercedes Parking Only sign, heavily embossed metal, pre-drilled with two fixing holes and suitable for use outside. Only used inside our garage, as new. Currently on ebay, but happy to let it go for P&P and donation to NtL.
  12. These are the original wheels from my 1980 Seven and are in good condition, having been stored in my garage and not used for the last twenty years (I don't think the spare has ever been used?). They are fitted with 4 x Yoko's and an original Goodyear G800, none of which are of any use, but you'll have to remove them yourself! I'm fairly certain they are Ford centres, but I'm not sure how to check that? £150 [http://i1028.photobucket.com/albums/y343/rjrcb/Seven/DSC_0031.jpg] Edited by - Roy Blyth on 8 Apr 2010 16:06:21
  13. Titanium7, they're yours. I'll get them weighed and let you know what the cost is, although my daughter did suggest that I post them to you one at a time which means you could get Low Flying delivered to your door every day for the next few months! Can you send me a BlatMail with your address details and I'll get back to you.
  14. I have a complete set of Low Flying magazines from April 2000 to December 2007 available to go to a good home (you only need to pay the postage). Anyone interested?
