  1. Yes the loop is in place, and I have waved the fob around in contact with the antenna loop without success .
  2. Thank you both for your quick replies - I shall respond to your PMs shortly.
  3. Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd respond here. I have what appears to be a common issue in that the Sterling (Toad) Excel transponder type immobiliser will not disarm on my 2004 R300 K-series. I had have the problem intermittently since the winter and have a couple of times managed to get the immobiliser to recognise the fob by following the reset instructions. But most of the time, the LED flashes away, and the fuel pump does not prime. The battery is a new Banner purchased over the winter and measures 12.7V. I also have a battery cut-off switch, and so isolate the battery when the car is tucked up in the garage. I have the scuttle off and cannot find anything obviously amiss with the wiring. My current plan is to replace the immobiliser with a contact type one (Sterling Touch). Before I go ahead, does anyone have any other suggestions to get the car started, or alternatives to my predicament? It is frustrating to say the least that I've not been able to get out in the Seven this year. Thanks in advance!
  4. Fantastic find. Thank you so much.
  5. My nut and bolt seized, which required destructive removal when refreshing my front lights and indicator and indicator pods. The hollow retaining/mounting bolts (through which the wiring passes and headlamp shell is fixed) do not appear to be available separately, requiring that I purchase a new headlamp assembly for £90 or so. As such, is anyone aware of where I might be able to get separately, or perhaps you have an unloved headlamp + bolt lying around ready for me to take it off your hands?!
  6. Thanks guys - all done now. I was clearly being a little dense yesterday
  7. My throttle cable has started getting a little sticky, so I'd like to replace it. However, I haven't figured out how to get the throttle end's nipple out from the throttle quadrant that sits in between the pair of bodies. I am hoping it can be done with the RBTBs in situ? I have put a photo up on thumbsnap, apologies if it's huge, I'm not sure how to make it smaller...! http://thumbsnap.com/SRx8fC75 http://thumbsnap.com/SRx8fC75 http://thumbsnap.com/i/SRx8fC75.jpg
  8. Before I go out and splash the cash... Interested in Caterham ones or GRP/composite ones. Thanks.
