  1. Taking my car up to a specialist garage next Wednesday to get it up on ramps so we can have a proper look/poke around. My issue does not look like a rev range or fuel issue as the car runs like a train through all the gears in a straight line and out of corners, but when loaded up on a right hand corner it doesn't even stutter and stop, the fuse just blows and car coasts to a halt. I would love to find a pinched wire, perhaps, so I can go and have some proper fun on the track. Will keep you posted and let you know what we find if anything. Cheers.
  2. Thanks Ellie. Will look there next. Very frustrating problem but appreciate the help.
  3. Just seen your post. If you see my recent post (ECU fuse blowing...) we may have a common problem so I would be very interested in knowing if you find the issue and I will do the same back to you. As with your issue mine is right hand bends but only on a track day once I start pushing it through the corners. Other than that my 2003 1.8K series runs like a dream. Difference is mine grinds to a halt until I change the fuse then everything is great. Not good on a track day so until I find the fault my car is road use only.
  4. Thanks for that. I haven't looked there. Will give it a go.
  5. Recently bought a 2003 K series R400 with a very recent engine rebuild with larger valves, forged pistons reworked head etc. The car runs really well on the road, not a misfire and pulls like a train. However on the two track days I have done the ECU fuse blows when pushed into right handers. Take it steady and there's no problem, but start to push it and the fuse blows every time. Thought I had fixed it after track day 1 when we found a wiring issue which was replaced. But couldn't believe it when on the second lap with warm tyres the same problem happened again. Have wiggled everything I can with the engine running and can't see anything obvious. As soon as the 30amp fuse is changed the car runs perfectly. Have done many miles on the road without any issue. Any ideas anyone. The assumption is that the additional corner g is making something short out. But what is the question.

  7. Many thanks to everyone for their replies. I have now bought Oli Greaves ex Roadsport B, apparently it eats yellow Caterhams for breakfast. What car did you buy in the end Toby, hope it's not yellow.....
  8. Andrew Smith (any relation?) will be calling you shortly, Good Luck
  9. Hi, I have just sold my 1998 Graduate car, with FIA roll bar, but the new owner wants a full cage. Can I put you guys in touch with each other. Don't think he has access to Blat chat, so a phone number would be good.
  10. Hi Toby, If you're doing Supers next year, then you and me will definately continue where we left off at Brands, but a little position reversal will be my aim. Really enjoyed racing with you this year, hopefully we can both put on a good show in 2005. Hi Steve I will give you a call to talk about damage and price. Unfortunately I am pretty tight on budget, and have been offered a good straight car within my £11,500.00 limit, but it will need a full cage to replace the roll bar it has now.
  11. Hi, Is this Russell Veitch's car, as raced in the Supergrads series last year? I am looking for a Supergrad spec race car at the right money, so ex Academy or Roadsport B is fine, (tyres not a problem as I will need new Yoko's for next year anyway). Call me on 01892 667895 weekends or evenings, or 01732 784306 day, leave a message either way please if no answer. Thanks. Paul.
  12. £11,500.00 top end budget, but cash available now. Mechanics and service history more important than looks, but should have a painted body and be all there, and race ready. Full cage and side impact bar a must. Any accident history must have been repaired at Arch. Send details and history of your car to p.manyweathers@activa.com with a no haggle bottom line price.
  13. Charles, Still available, but the last buyer found out from Caterham that it would not fit his car, but don't know what era his car is, so best to check first. Let me know what you find out from Caterham.
  14. As last buyer has found out they will not fit his car. Heavenly, if you read this you have first option, £80.00 the pair from 2001 De Dion, see earlier posting for more details.
  15. Chris, YHM ref the big brakes. They are from a 2001 Supergrad race car, so can't give you an exact answer. Graham, yes they are still available. Alan, thanks for the reply to the location question, I have been out playing at Brands Hatch all day.
