  1. Thanks for the advice. There is a general consensus to keep the cage, tillets etc. Should be seeing the car this weekend. Cheers PK
  2. Thanks for the replys. The potential car looks quite clean as it has not been used in anger many times. If I replaced the rollcage with a FIA rollbar would there be holes in the metal panels? I see there is a tall rollcage for sale (£300??), would I get a similar price if I sold a standard cage. Ta Paul
  3. A number of questions if you don't mind. As a lurker on this fine forum, I thought it best to ask the font of all knowledge. Finally, I'm about to purchase a caterham and an ex-academy 1.6 seems to be in my price range. Your help is appriciated. How easy is it to remove the stickers from the the paint work? I assume they do not have a heater so I will fit a new one. I suppose this is relatively simple, or should I go back to caterham. I'm not that mechanically minded yet, but willing to try. It does have a full rollcage. I like the additional safety aspect, but will the general public just point and laugh at the car. It also has tillet seats and 6 point harnesses which I understand are comfortable, but will like to get the padded inserts from oxted trimming. Are 13 inch tyres suitable for daily driving i.e. enough sump clearence on our pot hole infested roads. Thanks Paul (Hopefully a 7 owner soon)
